The IIC will hold the 21st IIC International Triennial Congress,
The Object in Context:
Crossing Conservation Boundaries, 3-8 September 2006 in Munich,
Germany. The IIC
publishes the journal, Studies in Conservation.

ICOM-CC
The International Committee on Museum- Conservation Committee aims
to promote the conservation, investigation and analysis of culturally
and historically significant works and to further the goals of the
conservation profession. See the link for the Working Group for
Scientific Methods of Examination of Works of Art. The 14th Triennial
Meeting will be held from 12 - 16 September 2005 in The Hague (The
Netherlands). The Theme will be: Our cultural past - Your future!

Society for American Archaeology
The SAA will hold the 71st Annual meeting from 26-30 April, 2006,
in San Juan, Puerto
Rico. The SAA publishes two journals, American Antiquity and Latin
American Antiquity.

The Materials Research Society
The MRS held meetings in France (June 2004 and 2005), in Mexico
(August 2005), and
the US annual meeting in Boston (Dec. 2004). The European MRS meeting
was published in Applied Physics A (2005). The Boston meeting is
in press as MRS Symposium Proceedings volume 858 and the Mexican
MRS will be published in 2006. The MRS is currently sponsoring an
exhibit, Strange Matter, that is touring the U.S. and Canada.

The Eastern Analytical Symposium
EAS is an annual four-day international professional meeting on
analytical chemistry.
The New York Conservation Foundation (NYCF) coordinates and co-supports
the
Conservation Science Annual sessions, part of annual EAS technical
and exposition
programs. The 12th EAS / NYCF Conservation Science Annual at the
Eastern
Analytical Symposium (EAS) will be held 14-17 November, 2005 in
Somerset, New Jersey.

The Annual Arizona Statewide Historic Preservation
Partnership Conference organized
by the Center for Desert Archaeology met in June 2005 in Tucson.
The 4th Annual
Meeting will be held in the spring of 2006. This meeting entitles
registration in
interesting sessions with outstanding speakers, and the chance to
meet peers from
around the state.
Archaeological
Institute of America – Tucson Society
The local society has a lecture program and has sponsored the construction
and firing
of a replica Greek kiln. The 107th Annual Meeting will be in Montreal,
Quebec,
January 5-8, 2006. The society produces three publications, American
Journal of
Archaeology, Archaeology magazine and Dig for children.

The Arizona State Museum (ASM) is on the University of Arizona campus
and exhibits
material culture from Arizona and also has special exhibits, such
as the jewelry of
Ben Nighthorse, former U.S. senator from Colorado.
